A Kambo practitioner, often referred to as a "Kambo healer" or "Kambo shaman," is an individual who is trained in the traditional indigenous use of Kambo—a secretion derived from the skin of the Phyllomedusa bicolor frog native to the Amazon rainforest. These practitioners are typically knowledgeable about the ritualistic and medicinal applications of Kambo within indigenous cultures, where it is revered for its purported cleansing and healing properties. Kambo practitioners administer the substance through small burns on the skin, followed by the application of the Kambo secretion.
